Outriders is one of the most spectacular games released this April, and it didn’t take long for it to receive the first major patch. The combination of a shooter and an RPG is a win-win combination, but it needs to be fulfilled properly. And after the first wave of feedback, Square Enix is up for a little rebalancing.

The new branch of human fighters that become demigods eventually has four classes: Pyromancer, Technomancer, Devastator, and Trickster. It’s the latter that turned out to be the most popular and powerful, due to the ability to do temporal magic. Well, it will take 25 seconds instead of 16 for Twisted Rounds ability, making ammo cause growing damage, to recharge. Other restricted abilities are Disruptive Firepower, Scion of Power, and Outrider Executioner: all of them will reach 35% instead of 50% they had.

Technomancer has been a little restricted as well: now this class will only have 15% bonus damage versus poisoned enemies, instead of earlier 30%. The same happens to Trial of Ashes in the Pyromancer’s abilities. The only class that retains its power is Devastator. In addition, all classes will no more be able to earn legendary weapons for monster hunt, bounty hunt, or historian quests.

The patch will be available next week. Alas, it’s not planned to fix cross-platform gameplay any time soon. Console players and those at their PC’s will only be able to team up with each other.
